About Me

Hello, my name is Dr. David Morales. As an educator with an extensive 25 years of dedicated teaching experience, I have devoted my professional life to the education and development of students in grades transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. Throughout my years of teaching, I have had the privilege to consult with numerous families and provide comprehensive educational guidance for students who have faced various challenges in math and/or reading. Additionally, I have strived to offer enrichment opportunities and engaging activities for students who require acceleration in their learning journeys.

With 25 years of extensive teaching experience, I have excelled in fostering academic and personal growth for students across diverse learning environments. I have served as a Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) teacher for students with learning disabilities and a Special Day Class (SDC) teacher for students with behavioral disorders, demonstrating expertise in addressing unique student needs with patience and care. As an Inclusion teacher for grades K-5, I successfully collaborated with general education teachers to ensure equitable access to learning for students with disabilities. Additionally, my experience spans teaching in first, second, and fourth-grade classrooms, where I cultivated engaging and supportive learning spaces for all students. As an MTSS Specialist, I have led efforts to implement tiered interventions, support data-driven instructional practices, and promote collaboration among educators to enhance student outcomes. My commitment to equity, inclusion, and academic excellence has been the cornerstone of my impactful career.

Currently, I work as a site-based instructional lead teacher for Culver City Unified School District. I hold a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Master of Education in Special Education from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, majoring in Special Education, from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi.
